Biography of Jaime Jorge

Jaime Jorge has an inspiring life story that he shares with his violin concert repertoire. He was born in Cuba in 1970, where he began studying violin at the age of five. While he was studying the violin in Cuba, he was offered a number of opportunities to study in Moscow, on the condition that he and his family would abandon their faith in Jesus Christ. Through an amazing series of events, his family was given the opportunity to immigrate to the United States, where he began violin lessons with the eminent violinist Cyrus Forough, a student of the great David Oistrakh.

Following graduation from Loyola University of Chicago, Jaime was accepted into the University Of Illinois Medical School. However, Jaime chose to leave medical school for a life of service dedicated to his music ministry, to which he brings a passion and life story that will keep you engaged throughout his concert.
